Top 5 Measurements You Should Take before Ordering clothes Online!

Online clothes shopping can be very tempting, especially with the cheap deals you can get ordering directly from some Asian countries. But when you order, how can you know if the item will fit you? Most clothing manufacturer will give you measurements but how do you know how to properly measure yourself? Should you measure your waist at the mid point? At the belly button? Well, we are hear to help you with taking the top 5 measurements you will need to buy clothing online.

#1 Bust

This measurement is a circumference. You will want to wrap your measuring tape across your chest at it's largets point (at the nipples).

#2 Waist

This is another circumference measurement. This measurement should be taken at your waist's smallest point. usually a few finger's breadth above your belly button.

#3 Hips

Yet another circumference measurement, you want to measure this one at the widest point of your hips.

#4 Inseam

This measurement is taken along the inside of your leg from your crotch, to your angle. The easiest way to measure your inseam is to actually take this measurement from one of your favorite pairs of (non-stretchy) pants that fit you nicely.

#5 Thighs

This is the circumference of your thigh at its widest area.

Top 5 tips for taking your measurements:

1. Remember that your measurements is really a record or your extremes (largest or smallest parts of specific areas).

2. If possible, do not measure over clothing, remove your clothing before measuring. If not possible, then make sure to measure over tight-fitting clothing.

3. Take your measurements a few times to make sure you got it right.

4. Try to take your measurements while standing in front of a full length mirror. This will allow you to make sure you are measuring at the correct spot.

5. If in doubt, order the larger size (it may seem crazy to order an even bigger size when Asian sizes will often already cause you to order two sizes larger than regular, but slightly too big is more manageable than slightly too small. (And you can take in clothing much more easily than let it out!)
